removal of gall bladder with stone.

B. Open Surgery :
CIRRHOSIS OF LIVER
/ NON CIRRHOTIC PORTAL HYPERTENSION
01. Modified Sugiura procedure:
This is done for uncontrolled bleeding from
oesophageal or gastric varices.
Note: This operation can only be done
privately in this Hospital in the country.
STOMACH + DUODENUM
02. Partial gastrectomy for cancer
stomach.
03. Total gastrectomy for cancer
stomach.
04. Vagotomy and bypass for duodenal
ulcer which does not heal by medication.
05. Repair of perforation of Gastric
or Duodenal Ulcer.
06. Curative resection for suitable
patients with carcinoma stomach.
GALL BLADDER
06. Open cholecystectomy for gall
stone where Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is
not possible.
BILE DUCT
07. Choledocholithotomy: Removal of
stone from bile duct where stone removal by
ERCP is not possible.
08. Hepatico-jejunostomy for various
indications e.g. bile duct injury, multiple
large bile duct stone, hepaticolithiasis.
PANCREAS
09. Pancreatico-duodenectomy (whipple's
procedure) for periampullary carcinoma and
cancer head of pancreas.
10. Lateral pancreatico-jejunostomy for
stone in pancreatic duct.
LIVER
11. Operation for liver cyst, Liver
Tumor
SMALL BOWEL:
12. Resection and anastomosis for
various causes i.e. tumor, intussusception
Tuberculosis etc.
13. Peroperative enteroscopy for
obscure GI bleeding. Pionear in managing
